The Harrisburg GVOAC is one of five statewide support centers funded by a "special grant" from the Governor of Pennsylvania.

The PA Department of Labor and Industry (L&I) provides support and supervision of the GVOAC Program.

The Harrisburg GVOAC provides assistance and service to PA veterans, their dependents and other eligible clients in the 23-county region of central PA.  Representatives provide services at various satellite offices within these counties, identifying the agencies that can best serve their needs.  The GVOAC serves as a vital link between the veteran and/or dependent and the servicing agency.

The GVOAC serves as an information, referral and case management/follow-up agency and will provide assistance on almost any type of problem and/or situation facing the veteran or family member.
